Item # SBCNNSTo use a vertical blast cabinet, first I ensure I wear proper personal protective equipment. This includes a mask, gloves, and eye protection. I begin by loading the items I want to clean or prepare into the cabinet. Then, I open the cabinet door and place the items on the turntable or work area inside. Close the door securely to prevent blasting media from escaping.
Next, I adjust the settings on the blast cabinet, including pressure and media flow, according to the requirements of the task. Next, I turn on the blast cabinet and use the foot pedal or hand control to start the blasting process. The cabinet’s internal lights and viewing window allow me to monitor the progress.
Once the blasting is complete, I turn off the cabinet and carefully remove the items. Following every job, I inspect them to ensure they are clean and free of debris. Finally, I clean the cabinet by removing any spent media and residue, and check for any needed maintenance.
