Description
I keep the batteries on my recreational vehicles powered up and ready to go with the Automatic Battery Float Charger. I recommend using the Sportsman Series Automatic Battery Float Charger for the maintenance of wet or gel cell batteries. Whether they are stored or used periodically in boats, cars, snowmobiles, ATV’s and tractors, I find these to be invaluable. I love my Battery Float Charger because it prevents self-discharge of the battery. Most importantly, I know it will maintain and extend the life of my rechargeable 12V batteries. I know it will maintain a charge for batteries rated from 5 to 125 amp-hours. It provides a 13.2 VDC max output. Plus, I know other types of chargers provide a strong, rapid charge but tends to boil out liquids and decay electrodes. I use this battery float charger only to keep a fully charged battery from losing its charge. Most importantly, I understand it will NOT work to charge a battery that is discharged or damaged. And I always check the voltage of the battery to be charged. I do not use it if the battery voltage is less than 9.6 volts.
To use a battery float charger, I first begin by disconnecting the battery from my vehicle or equipment. Safety is the number one priority! Next, I connect the charger’s positive (red) clamp to the battery’s positive terminal. Then, I attach the negative (black) clamp to the battery’s negative terminal. After securing the connections, I plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet. Subsequently, I switch the charger to the float or maintenance mode. This will ensure it maintains the battery at a full charge without overcharging. As a result, I know the charger will monitor the battery’s voltage and automatically. And i know it will adjust its output to keep the battery in optimal condition. Furthermore, I regularly check the charger’s indicator lights to confirm it is functioning correctly. Finally, once the battery is fully charged, I unplug it from the outlet and carefully disconnect the clamps.

Here are some of my favorite benefits of owning my Battery Float Charger.
Maintains Battery Charge: I use float chargers to keep my battery at a constant, optimal charge level. This prevents the battery from discharging completely. Obviously, I know this can be useful for vehicles or equipment not used frequently.
Prevents Overcharging: Finally, I know float chargers will deliver just enough current to keep the battery fully charged without overcharging it. They automatically switch to a maintenance or trickle mode once the battery reaches its full charge.
Improves Reliability: Also, for vehicles or equipment that are used intermittently, I know having a float charger ensures the battery is always ready to go. This can prevent the frustration of a dead battery and ensure reliability and makes me more confident.
Saves Time and Effort: Instead of having to manually charge my battery or deal with a dead battery, I rely on a float charger. It’s a “set it and forget it” solution that I know will simplify battery maintenance. asdf
Convenience: I know float chargers are easy to use and connect. Once I set them up, they continuously monitor the battery and adjust the charge as needed. This provides me with a hassle-free solution for battery maintenance.
Extends Battery Life: By maintaining an optimal charge level and preventing overcharging, I know float chargers can help extend the overall life of my battery. This reduces the frequency of replacements and helps me get the most out of my investment.
I highly recommend the battery float charger. It has become invaluable when I use it in my garage or shed, and saves me valuable time. When I prepare my tool space, I make room for the battery float charger. I have told my friends how much I rely on it, too! Using a battery float charger offers several benefits, especially for maintaining the health and longevity of your battery.
Here are some common scenarios where I know a float charger can be beneficial: RVs often have multiple batteries, including house batteries and starting batteries. Boats can benefit from a float charger to ensure the marine battery remains charged and ready for use. Mowers and other power equipment that use batteries can benefit from float chargers to ensure they are ready for use. And I know in off-grid solar setups, float chargers can maintain the charge of batteries used for energy storage.
