Description

I love the Sportsman 7000 Surge Watt Propane LP  Generator because it can power common household appliances and power tools. It is equipped with four 120-volt outlets. Plus a 12-volt DC outlet for battery charging, and a 120/240-volt outlet. I can use this 7000 Surge Watt Propane LP Generator immediately by pulling the recoil start. Or if I install a motorcycle battery (not included), I can use the electric start feature.

A generator of this size is ideal for camping. Plus it will run my essential household appliances during power outages. I recommend this generator because it is a real workhorse! Features include a 13 HP 4-Stroke OHV engine. Plus I like the Automatic Low Oil Shutdown and Automatic Voltage Regulator. These are both important features. I like that the engine run time is 8 hours at 50% load. It uses a common 20 lb (gas grill type) cylinder (not included). A 5-foot propane fuel hose with a regulator is included. The engine is surprisingly quiet; it runs at less than 80 decibels.  I love this generator for its power and affordable price.

I like the propane fuel option because propane has advantages over gasoline. First, I know propane burns cleaner. Also, propane will not degrade, so I keep several propane tanks on hand for emergencies. Since it runs on propane, I never worry about fuel going bad or having the carburetor getting fouled. I can power my coffee makers, microwaves, or small stoves.  And, I install the included wheel kit because it offers flexibility. It is easy for me to move it to different areas outside my home. Plus I can roll it around when camping or during outdoor activities. I like this generator because it provides me with a power source whenever I may need it. Also, I own several portable generators because they can be very valuable during emergencies. Additionally, I will use it to provide power for essential tools or equipment in case of home repairs or camping trips.

Special note, I cannot convert this generator to operate with natural gas.
Item # GEN7000LP

I use propane generators because they offer several benefits. First, I like propane because it burns cleaner than gasoline or diesel, which enhances safety and reduces maintenance needs. It produces fewer greenhouse gases and pollutants, making it a more environmentally friendly option. I find that propane generators typically run quieter than their counterparts, and provide a more peaceful operation. Additionally, propane has a longer shelf life. I think it is easier to store, as it doesn’t degrade over time like gasoline. Overall, I recommend propane generators because they deliver reliable and efficient power, while minimizing environmental impact and maintenance requirements.
